Merry Christmas family and friends.
We enjoyed a morning at home opening gifts together before heading over to my parents’ home.
My favorite gift came from Doug in the form of an audio recording. He had me settle in on the couch and placed my AirPods in my ears, then pressed play. The audio recording was a collection of sentiments about how we met, our life together, life with the girls, visiting the cabin, our boat days, and the dogs. In the background, he mixed in audio to correlate with his love letter, including the girls’ voices, the music we listen to on the boat, and the dogs barking. I cried the whole time as I listened. It was a gift that came from the heart, that was so thoughtful and I’ll love and cherish it forever.
I loved watching the girls give gifts to one another, and us. They love gift-giving these days, and they are great gift-givers.
The afterernoon was spent at my parents, enjoying dinner, family and more gifts.
Jake came over in the evening, and we enjoyed celebrating with him too!
